As the founder of the L‑Evate Academy—a digital curriculum built around his proprietary 5Gs of Growth (Gratitude • Grace • Generosity • Grit • Grind)—he’s empowering mental strength, social-emotional learning, and sustainable success across generations.

He currently serves as CEO of the L-Evate Academy, LLC and President of the Take This L Foundation, a nonprofit turning personal loss into a collective legacy. His national bestseller, "Take This L: The Modern Guide to Find Lessons in Your Losses, Transformation in Your Troubles, and Purpose in Your Pain, reflects his conviction that every “L” is an invitation to rise.

A scholar-practitioner, Danny is currently attending the University of Miami pursuing his doctoral degree in Applied Learning Sciences, where he is researching the intersection of Education, Technology, Mental Health, and Commerce. He is building the academic foundation for his work in measurement-driven resilience and leadership development.

 

Leveraging his 30+ year corporate journey (including senior executive and CEO roles in Fortune 500 environments) and a certified Six Sigma Black Belt, he blends systems-thinking with soul-deep impact.

In the ed-tech arena, Danny is the architect behind the Life Be Life-ing App—a next-generation artificial intelligence platform where users engage daily in the 5Gs, track their “Fragilient™” growth, and gamify the rise from fragility to thriving.

In recognition of his achievements in business and service, Danny was inducted into Murphy High School’s Hall of Fame, honoring a legacy that continues to uplift both boardrooms and classrooms.

 

Born in Meridian, Mississippi, and raised in Tuscaloosa and Mobile, Alabama, Danny attended West Point, where he played fullback for the Army Black Knights at the United States Military Academy. A proud disabled veteran, he carries the discipline, resilience, and servant-leadership forged in uniform into every aspect of his work. He holds an MBA in International Business from the Georgia Institute of Technology and serves on the board of the National Black College Alumni Hall of Fame Foundation, supporting HBCUs across the nation.
